FAQs

  • One of the main benefits of using compounded pharmaceutical drugs in aesthetic procedures is the ability to tailor the treatment to the specific needs of the patient. For example, a compounded medication can be formulated to include a specific combination of active ingredients to target a specific skin condition, such as acne or aging. This level of customization can lead to better treatment outcomes and increase patient satisfaction.

  • Compounded pharmaceutical drugs are medications that are specifically formulated and prepared by a licensed pharmacist to meet the unique needs of a patient. They are often used in aesthetic procedures to provide more personalized and effective treatment.

  • Morpheus8 is a cutting-edge technology that provides numerous benefits for those seeking aesthetic treatments. Morpheus8 is a subdermal adipose remodeling device (SARD) that uses a combination of microneedling and radiofrequency energy to rejuvenate and revitalize the skin. This technology is a game-changer for people looking for an effective, non-invasive solution to aging, wrinkles, fine lines, skin laxity, and skin rejuvenation!

  • The device delivers RF energy through micro-needles or fractional RF technology, which creates small micro-injuries in the skin. These micro-injuries trigger the body's natural healing response, which leads to the production of new collagen, a protein that gives skin its structure and elasticity. The new collagen helps to tighten and smooth the skin, improving the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, and other skin concerns. In addition to collagen stimulation, Morpheus8 also targets deeper layers of skin to promote skin tightening, contouring, and rejuvenation. The micro-needles used in Morpheus8 are very thin and precise, which helps to minimize damage to the top layer of skin and minimize pain and downtime.

  • Morpheus8 uses micro-needles and fractional RF technology, which helps to minimize damage to the top layer of skin and minimize pain and downtime. The precision of the technology also helps to reduce the risk of injury and minimize the risk of complications. It is a minimally invasive treatment, which means that it does not require a large incision or general anesthesia. This can reduce the risk of complications and improve the overall safety of the procedure.

  • Morpheus8 can be used on the following areas: face, neck, chest, armpits (for hypohidrosis), underarms, legs, and buttocks.

  • In general, you can expect to see some initial results within a few days after your Morpheus8 treatment, with the full results showing in 6 to 8 weeks as your collagen production continues improving. The results of Morpheus8 can last for up to two years, depending on your skin condition, age, and lifestyle.

However, it's important to remember that the natural aging process continues after treatment, and skin will still gradually lose its elasticity and firmness over time. To best maintain results of Morpheus8, you may need to undergo periodic maintenance treatments (every 1 to 3 years) in addition to maintaining healthy skincare habits in order to protect your skin from environmental damage and promote collagen production.

  • Preparing for your Morpheus8 appointment involves several steps to ensure that you get the best possible results from the treatment! Here are a few things you should do to prepare:

Consultation: Before booking your Morpheus8 appointment, schedule a consultation with us to discuss any of your skin concerns/problems, your medical history, and what your goals are for treatment.

Skincare: Avoid using any skincare products that contain retinoids or exfoliants, such as alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs), beta-hydroxy acids (BHAs), or glycolic acid, for at least 7 days before your appointment. These products can make your skin more sensitive and increase the risk of side effects.

Medications: Let us know about any medications you're taking, such as: prescription drugs, over-the-counter (OTC) medications, and/or health supplements. Some medications (such as blood thinners) can increase the risk of bleeding and/or bruising during the treatment.

Hydration: Drink lots of water and stay well hydrated in the days leading up to your appointment! This helps improve your skin's elasticity and reduce the risk of side effects.

Sun exposure: Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning beds for at least 14 days before treatment. Sunburned and/or tanned skin can increase the risk of side effects and delay your healing process.

Comfortable clothing: Wear loose fitting, comfortable clothing to your appointment, as you may experience some swelling or redness after treatment.

By following the above guidelines, you can best prepare your skin and body for your Morpheus8 treatment, minimize any unwanted side effects, and achieve optimal, desired results.

  • Proper aftercare is crucial to ensure that you get the best possible results from your Morpheus8 treatment and minimize the risk of side effects. Here are some aftercare tips to follow:

Moisturize: Apply a gentle, fragrance-free non-comedogenic moisturizer to the treated area twice a day to keep the skin hydrated and promote healing. Don’t over moisturize!

Sun protection: Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning beds for at least 14 days after treatment. Wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30 and reapply every two hours if you are in direct sunlight.

Makeup: Avoid wearing makeup or applying any facial products to the treated area for at least 24 hours after your treatment.

Avoid strenuous exercise: Yay, you can take a rest day! Avoid any strenuous exercise or activities that raises your heart rate or blood pressure for at least 48 hours after treatment. This can help reduce swelling and minimize the risk of complications.

Be patient: It may take several weeks or months to see the full results of your Morpheus8 treatment as the collagen production continues to improve.

Follow-up appointments: Attend all follow-up appointments as scheduled to monitor your progress and address any concerns or issues that may arise.

By following the above aftercare tips, you can promote healing, minimize the risk of side effects, and achieve optimal results from your Morpheus8 treatment.
